TOPIC: THE POWER OF GODLY CHARACTER

SCRIPTURE: Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Psalm 24:3-5.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Godly character establishes people in the presence of God and the presence of God is a preservative of life.

It has been established that one key to living in audacity and courage, without being afraid of any negative or demonic forces on earth, is to live by godly character. People with godly character are fearless and courageous. They challenge evil powers and systems. This is because godly character imparts on you the courage to rebuke evil. Our Master, Jesus Christ is someone who exhibits audacity through godly character. In John 14:30, He said, Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. The prince of this world, the force of hell, and the power of darkness could not find any fault or sin in Jesus Christ. There was nothing in Jesus Christ that they could hold against Him. That is the force of godly character. Godly character is a preservative of life. 

Now, the question is: what is in godly character that causes it to preserve people’s lives? Godly character establishes people in the presence of God, and the presence of God is a preservative of life. Psalm 24:3-5 says: Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in His holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. The person who has clean hands, a pure heart, and has not lifted up their soul to vanity will dwell in the presence of the Lord. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). Beloved, this is my counsel to you: make up your mind to maintain godly character so you can enjoy the preservation of your life and destiny. 

Remember this: Godly character establishes people in the presence of God and the presence of God is a preservative of life.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Make up your mind to dwell in God’s Presence always.
2. Maintain integrity and uprightness of life. 

PRAYER: Thank You Father for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to live right so I can be preserved by You, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
