The Welfare Department
The Welfare department of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC) is an arm of the church with the responsibility to care for everyone and serve the poor and needy members within the church primarily, and others in the community and neighborhood; also, to be a blessing to everyone. Over the years, countless lives have been touched by the Church through the Welfare department and several Humanitarian services carried out in various communities both within and outside the country; provision of basic amenities such as borehole for vulnerable communities, electricity, motorable roads, orphanage homes / homes for vulnerable teenagers and other landmark projects.
The Vision
The Vision of the welfare department of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC) is to extend the practical love of Jesus Christ to everyone, especially those in need through the distribution of welfare materials such as foods, clothes, physical cash, etc and scholarship for countless individuals.
Our Driving Force
The fundamental principle upon which the department is based is Love – Love of God and neighbour, service and moving closer to our people. 1 John 3:17(MSG)- “If you see some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to God’s love? It disappears. And you made it disappear” 1John 4: 11-12 (MSG)- “ If God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other. No one has seen God, ever. But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and his love becomes complete in us-perfect love! Based on this, the vision of the Welfare department is “To reach out to needy children and adults, male and female, irrespective of nationality or background, within and outside the church, to extend the love of God to them as much as we can”
