TOPIC: PROSPERITY THROUGH GENEROSITY

SCRIPTURE: And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. 1 Kings 3:4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To experience a shift in your level of prosperity and blessing, you must shift your level of giving.

It has been confirmed that giving is a trigger for receiving. Generosity towards God is a wisdom pathway to accessing the Blessing of God. 1 Kings 3:4 says: And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. When Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings, the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, Ask what I shall give thee. This shows that generosity towards God is key to authority with resources. It is essential for accessing divine resources and blessings, and it is central to prosperity in life.

Being generous towards God goes beyond paying tithes and giving offerings. It is reaching a level where there is nothing too big to give to God. It means holding nothing back from God. Many times, when people see servants of God at certain levels of financial prosperity and blessings, they wonder what took them there. The truth is that every great man of means reached that level by being generous towards God. If you don’t do what others do, you won’t see the results they see. There are things we do with God that we don’t always talk about. To experience a shift in your level of prosperity and blessing, you must shift your level of giving. Beloved, make up your mind today to release your resources to God so you can access the prosperity and blessings He has in store for you.

Remember this: To experience a shift in your level of prosperity and blessing, you must shift your level of giving. 

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Refuse to be greedy, tightfisted and stingy towards God.
2. Make up your mind not to hold anything from God.

PRAYER: Father, I ask that You deliver me from the spell of self-centeredness, stinginess and greed. I receive the grace to release towards You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
