TOPIC: AUTHORITY WITH SECURITY

SCRIPTURE: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 2:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The angels of the Lord are always on assignment for the defence of the saints.

From scripture we understand something very powerful: above only is our God-ordained place of existence. Deuteronomy 28:13 says, And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

In Matthew 5:14, we are called “a city set on a hill.” Not a village in a valley or a settlement in obscurity.

And in Ephesians 2:6, we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The top is our place.

When God gives you authority, He gives you security. Even in the physical realm, the highest office in the land comes with the highest form of security. Authority comes with security.

Let us look at examples.

1. Abraham was defended by God

When Abimelech took Abraham’s wife, God intervened directly – Genesis 20:3.

2. Job was surrounded by a hedge of protection.

In Job 1:10, satan confessed: Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

3. Daniel – Angelic Intervention

My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

Daniel 6:22.

The angels of the Lord are always on assignment for the defence of the saints. Every trap set against Daniel was neutralized.

Psalm 124 declares:
“The snare is broken, and we are escaped.”

How to experience security

1. Live for God and His Kingdom

The ambassador enjoys immunity only if he represents his nation properly – Philippians 1:21

Live for His cause, purpose and represent Him well.

Daniel served God continually, and when danger came, God sent His angel to defend him.

2. Trust in God

Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Daniel 3:28.

If you must be delivered by God, you must have trust in Him. Faith moves God. Hebrews 11:6.

3.Follow That Which Is Good

 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

1 Peter 3:13 

Be a good person, wish people well and do not plot anybody’s harm. Do not rejoice at another person’s downfall. Goodness attracts divine preservation.

4. Live Uprightly

He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

Isaiah 33:15–16.

Beloved, to walk in authority and security, you must dwell in the Presence of the Most High.

Remember This: The angels of the Lord are always on assignment for the defence of the saints.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for your Word to me today, Lord I receive the consciousness of divine security. Help me to live for You and trust in You, Lord in Jesus’ name.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

1. Be a good representative of God anywhere you are.
2. Let the Word of God mold and shape you as His ambassador here on earth.
