 TOPIC: THE SPIRITUAL WORLD

 SCRIPTURE: In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar.  Esther 3:7

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To function effectively in this life, it is important to know how to deal with issues in the spiritual world.

Behind most events in the natural, are orchestrations from the spiritual. We may live natural lives or physical lives, but in actual sense, we are living in a spiritual world. Most physical events may look harmless, normal, or ordinary, but they are orchestrated most of the time from the spiritual world. That is why to function effectively in this life, it is important to know how to deal with issues in the spiritual world.

Sometime ago, a girl was brought to church in a critical condition. She was under acute asthmatic attack struggling to breathe. Now, this was what happened prior to the asthmatic attack: earlier on, she was in school, and one of her schoolmates walked up to her and asked, “Are you using inhaler yet?” And she responded to the girl, “What are you talking about? Why should I use inhaler? I don’t need inhaler because I’m not asthmatic.”

Before the evening, this innocent girl became asthmatic and began to wheeze. That was practically an evil arrow fired in the spiritual realm that the wicked schoolmate wanted to confirm its physical potency.

There is a scriptural example that also shows that the natural is controlled by the spiritual. When Mordecai failed to bow to Haman, Haman went to king Ahasuerus and told him that there were people scattered all over the Persian empire that needed to be eliminated. The king did not ask, “What did they do? The question is, even if they were not good, was elimination the solution? At least they could have been imprisoned or banished. The king did not ask question, instead he made a hasty decree for the execution of the Jews.

That shows us that the king was not acting by himself, the king was not normal. Esther 3:7 corroborates this; it says, In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar. This clearly shows the manipulative and occultic devices of Haman. It was nothing but an occultic lot, an occultic consultation.

If Esther and her maids did not rise to fast, pray and counter altar with altar, and the supernatural with the supernatural, the Jews would have been eliminated.

That is why children of God must wake up. There are many Christians moving about with empty chests without spiritual bullet shields. They are not fortified, so they are exposed to dangers.

What is my counsel?

1. Refuse to live carelessly.
2. Pay attention to every abnormal occurrence or unusual pattern around your life.
3. Remain consistent in your spiritual schedules and routines of prayer, fasting, study, and sacrifice.

Remember this: To function effectively in this life, it is important to know how to deal with issues in the spiritual world.
