TOPIC: THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE REVIVAL FIRE

SCRIPTURE:  And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I._ – Exodus 3:3-4

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If you carry the fire, your life, your life cannot be covered.

Our anchor Scripture unveils to us a major turning point in Moses’ life after years of toiling and wandering in the wilderness. It was this encounter with fire at the burning bush that completely transformed his life. After this encounter, Moses began to make trans generational impact that cannot be forgotten in time and eternity.

It is worthy of note that the fire of God has an assignment in the life of every child of God. It takes being on fire to make indelible marks in your generation.

So, it is important for us to know the assignment of the fire of revival that was released at Pentecost in our lives as children of God.

In today’s study, we shall be looking at one of the assignments of the Fire of Revival in our lives: It is the fire of generational attraction.

When the fire of God comes upon you, you become a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden [Matthew 5:14].

When a church is on fire, the crowd is attracted.

For example, if a vehicle catches fire on the highway, it attracts everyone, friends, enemies; everyone would park their vehicles and come around either to watch what is happening or see how to assist in quenching the fire. No one prints invitation cards for people to come and see where something is burning; people come effortlessly.

John Wesley was kicked out of the Church of England because they considered him a heretic. So, he took a pulpit and placed it on his father’s tomb believing that nobody could drive him from his father’s grave. And he began to preach from there and crowds in their thousands gathered. They left church and went to the graveyard to hear him. And people asked him, “What’s happening, people are not going to church, yet they are coming to you at the grave of your father to hear your sermon?” He said, “I set myself on fire, and people come to watch me burn.”

So, the problem is not whether the church is in the wilderness or in the city. Anywhere God places you as your location, your allocation will meet you there. If you are burning, you will attract people.

Beloved, if you carry the fire, your life cannot be covered. They may hate you, but they cannot hide you.

They don’t want to see you, but they cannot help it.

Their opinion will not matter.

Hebrews 5:4 says, _And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron._ It is so exciting that God does not consult human opinion before allocating His gifts, callings and blessings. If God were to make consultations with men most of us would not be where we are. You would most likely not have seen the light of day if God were to consult even your friends or family members; they would not have recommended you. Thank God, human verdict is not Divine Mandate.

I decree concerning your life, every conspiracy of hell against your destiny, calling, gifting or assignment to mute your voice, cover your eyes, or make you irrelevant, is broken. The fire that is coming upon your life will make you a centre of attraction in your generation in Jesus’ Name!

Remember this:
If you carry the fire, your life cannot be covered.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Continuously set yourself on fire at the place of prayer especially praying in the Spirit, study of the Word, and deep worship.

2. Know that iniquity quenches the fire; avoid the lifestyle of sin and iniquity.

3. Believe that you cannot be hidden; declare it and take appropriate faith actions towards your manifestation.

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for Your Word to me today.
I ask that You draw me closer to You every day and continue to set my heart on fire so I can impact my world for Your glory, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
