TOPIC: THE SHIELD OF UPRIGHTNESS

SCRIPTURE: 

He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him. Ecclesiastes 10:8.

THOUGHT FOR: Uprightness is a shield against the attack of the enemy.

The Scripture makes it clear that a major benefit of uprightness is divine preservation. Uprightness preserves both the life and destiny of the upright. Uprightness is a shield against the attack of the enemy. Ecclesiastes 10:8 says: He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him. Similarly, Isaiah 33:15-16 says: He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. The Scripture reveals that the one who lives righteously shall dwell on high, and their place of defence will be the munitions of rocks. That is like being in a spiritual bomb shelter.

No genuine child of God is permitted to appear in the monitoring mirror of a wizard. As a child of God, when agents of darkness invoke your spirit, it is impossible for them to kill you. It is not possible for native doctors to put the blood of a pigeon in a calabash and expect it to be more powerful than the Blood of Jesus. No! It is not possible. You cannot die like a chicken. Today, I decree that anywhere they invoke your spirit, their own spirit shall appear there. Anywhere they call your name, the same people calling you shall be destroyed. Beloved, always remember that godly character preserves lives and destinies. The grace to live uprightly is released upon you in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Uprightness is a shield against the attack of the enemy.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Make up your mind to stay always within the boundary of uprightness.
2. Make demands on the Blood of Jesus to neutralise every attack of the enemy over your life.

PRAYER: Father, I make demands on the Blood of Jesus Christ to shield me from every attack of the enemy. I receive the grace to live an upright life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
