TOPIC: THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF VISION

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

Genesis 13:14-15

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What is not in your mind cannot be found in your life.

In our anchor Scripture, we find a profound truth that has shaped the course of human history. In Genesis 13:14-15, God speaks to Abraham, saying, “Look from the place where you are… as far as your eyes can see…”

This divine mandate is not just a physical directive but a spiritual imperative. It is an invitation to gaze beyond the present moment, to envision a future that transcends our current circumstances, and tap into the limitless possibilities that lie within us.

Vision is the spark that sets the flame of possibility ablaze. It is the catalyst that propels us from the realm of mere existence to the realm of purpose.

In today’s study, we shall explore the transformative power of vision using some scriptural examples.

Scriptural Example of People Who Started with Vision and Ended with Manifestations:

1. Abraham (Genesis 13:14-15)

The geographical territory of what is called Israel today was what Abraham saw and took delivery of, passing it down to his children and descendants. If you start with vision, you must end with possession.

2. Joseph (Genesis 37:3-9).

Joseph saw the palace before he reached it. He saw himself in authority and in charge of people and things.

Beloved, where you see yourself today, determines where you will find yourself tomorrow.

3. David (1 Samuel 17:45-51).

David killed Goliath in his vision before he killed him with his action. He had no sword in his hand when he saw himself cutting the head of Goliath.

As far as I am concerned, David saw the whole process:

-He saw himself catapulting the man.

-He saw the man crashing.

-He saw himself running to where the man was.

-He saw himself taking the man’s sword and

-Cutting off his head.

When the picture is clear, the venture is there. David could venture because he carried a picture.

Beloved, what is not in your mind cannot be found in your life.

Some people wait for things to happen by chance, no! Things don’t happen by chance; they happen by force, and it is by the force of vision.

Remember this: What is not in your mind cannot be in your life.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

1. Look beyond your present circumstances; let the Word of God open your eyes of faith to the realm of His possibilities.
2. Fill your mind with limitless possibilities from God for your life and destiny.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. Help me to picture a future that transcends my current circumstances, and to tap into the limitless potential that lies within me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name
