TOPIC: THE TRANSACTIONS OF LIFE

SCRIPTURE: For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  Galatians 6:8

 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The way you live determines the way you end in life and eternity.

It is important to see the world as a sort of marketplace where transactions are made. Life is full of exchanges. For example, to take in oxygen, a person must give out carbon dioxide. In the same manner, every single action we take in life attracts a corresponding reaction or outcome. And it may be a loss or gain, in time or eternity. There is nothing like something for nothing. So, life is all about transactions.

In Genesis 38:1-7, Judah went in unto a Canaanite woman, a tribe of people that he was not supposed to mingle with. Judah ended as a moral calamity because he did not have principles to follow.

Beloved, the way you live determines the way you end in life and eternity. If there is no law or principle guiding your life, accidents of destiny are not preventable.

For example, if someone gets a job through forgery or crookery, he will surely have problems in the job because foundation determines destination. The harvest of deception is disaster.

This is my counsel to you: at every point in your life, be sure that what you give is equal to what you get in every transaction. Ensure that you are not losing more than you are gaining. Don’t be like Esau who made a disastrous transaction.

Remember this: The way you live determines the way you end in life and eternity.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

1. Always think about the earthly and eternal consequences of every action before embarking on it.
2. Study the Scripture daily and follow Scriptural principles in all you do.
3. Refuse to be influenced by societal bandwagons.

 PRAYER: Lord, I surrender all to You. Help me to walk according to Your precepts, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
