TOPIC: THE RIGHT MINDSET FOR RIGHT LIVING

SCRIPTURE: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Proverbs 23:7

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You must change your mindset in order to change your life.

It has been established that the right mindset is critical to a lifestyle of fruitfulness and productivity.

One example of a person with the right mindset who broke through in his time was Isaac. In Isaac’s time, there was famine in the land. While others were looking for food to eat, Isaac was thinking of what to sow.

Genesis 26:12 says: Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. While others were struggling for survival in the midst of famine, Isaac focused on planting and harvesting, and as a result, he reaped a hundredfolds in the same year. Can you see from the story of Isaac that life is a matter of your mentality?

Where you live, no matter how bad or dry it is, is not your problem; the real problem is your mind. Your mindset determines how you respond to the challenges and opportunities around you. In the same land where others were looking for food, Isaac sowed and became the envy of his generation. You see, if things are not working for you as expected, your family, your environment or circumstances are not the real problems; your mindset is. There is a need to examine your thinking and make adjustments when necessary.

For example, if God sends you to shepherd His church in a desert, like the Sahara Desert, you must go. When you obey God, people will come from all over the world to worship there. Even in Egypt, in the midst of a plague, there was a place called Goshen where the plague could not touch.

Beloved, you must change your mindset in order to change your life.

Remember this: You must change your mindset in order to change your life.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Refuse to be affected negatively by any negative family background, environments or circumstances.
2. Change your mindset positively so you can positively transform your life.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your Word today. I receive the grace to change my mindset and align it with Your Will and Purpose for my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
