TOPIC: THE PATH OF VISION

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. HABAKKUK 2:2-3.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Vision happens when someone comes to the realization of the purpose of God for his or her life.

Vision is insight into God’s purpose for a man’s life. Vision happens when someone comes to the realization of the purpose of God for his/her life.

The question to ask yourself is, what does God want to achieve through me? This is because true vision originates from God. Vision in the kingdom refers to what God wants to achieve through a person’s life.

Now, how do you arrive at the vision of God for your life?

1. At the place of prayer through expectation. Habakkuk 2:1 says, I will watch to see what he will say unto me. To watch is to see; and to listen is to hear. Not just prayer for religious purpose but praying with expectation. So, at the place of prayer through expectation, God shows you things about your life and future. These are usually things that you didn’t know before (Jeremiah 33:3).
2. At the place of prayer through enquiry. In this case, you are not just praying but you are asking specific questions and trusting God for definite answers. At the place of prayer through enquiry you can connect to a vision for your life (Acts 9:6) (Jeremiah 6:16).
3. At the place of waiting and worship. Waiting means, waiting on the Lord with fasting combined with the worship of God. Fasting and prayer are keys to hearing the voice of God. Waiting on the Lord and worshipping the Lord can connect a person to God’s vision for their life (Isaiah 58:6-8. Psalms 89: 15) (Acts 13:1-2).
4. By maximizing the night season (Psalms 16:7). The night season is the season for high frequency spiritual signal transmission (Isaiah 30:29-30). For example, Paul the apostle was a man who received divine direction in the night (Acts 16:9).

Now, how is vision communicated? Let us look at some of the ways vision can be communicated.

1. Through dreams and revelations. Joseph got the idea of his life’s vision through dreams (Genesis 37:5-10). God can interrupt your dreams in the night with prophetic insights.
2. Through God-ordained passions and desires. That is, God puts desires, passions or burdens in your heart around your life’s assignment (Psalms 37:4).
3. Through discovering inbuilt potentials and deposits. Your endowment is connected to your assignment.  Your equipment is connected to your assignment. For example, David killed the lion which was a requisite feat for the killing of Goliath (1Samuel 17:34-36).

Beloved, when you look inside of you, you would see what you can do without struggles. There is a connection between your endowment and your assignment in life.

Remember This: Vision happens when someone comes to the realization of the purpose of God for his or her life.

ASSIGNMENTS: 

1. Spend quality time in prayer, fasting, and the Word to discover what God created you to do, rather than just deciding for yourself.
2. Avoid distractions that can lead you out of God’s plan.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for creating me with a purpose. Help me to discover, pursue, and fulfill my vision. Surround me with the right people, and give me the grace to stay focused until my vision is realized, Lord in Jesus’ Name
