SCRIPTURE: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anywhere fear is born, strength dies.
One of the weapons the devil uses to cripple his victims is fear.
Wherever he wants to work, he sends out the tool of fear first.
I have heard stories where soldiers were killed in warfront because of fear; they were unable to fire out of fear and terror. They had the weapon, but they were unable to fire; it dropped from their hands, and they were cheaply killed like chicken.
People have failed examination not because they did not know the subject but because they were too afraid to remember anything. Fear kills strength; it ruins capacity, audacity, brutality and ferocity. Fear destroys lives.
Beloved, it is important to understand the dangers of fear in order to escape its terrible outcome.
Now, let us look at two reasons why fear must be avoided:
1. Fear is the magnet of disaster and destruction. Fear is the forerunner of evil (Job 3:25).
2. Fear is the paralysis of strength. Fear paralyses strength. Anywhere fear is born, strength dies. You cannot be afraid and be strong at the same time (Deuteronomy 31:6, Joshua 10:25, Daniel 10:12-19). The choice for fear is the choice against strength and the choice for strength is the choice against fear. If you fear, you cannot be strong.
Beloved, God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, love and of a sound mind. So, refuse to fear anything.
Remember this: Anywhere fear is born, strength dies.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Build your faith with the Word of God; fear cannot survive where there is faith.
2. Refuse to feed your soul with fearful thoughts, pictures or news.
3. Fear nothing.
PRAYER: Lord, You are greater than anything or any situation on earth. And if You are for me, who can be against me? I fear nothing! And I owe the devil nothing. Thank You, Lord for being my defence, in Jesus’ Name.
