TOPIC: THE BATTLE OF GREATNESS

 SCRIPTURE: I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19

 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If your future is great, your battle will be strong.

 Many years ago, my mother told me some stories surrounding my birth and childhood. They were amazing!

First, she said when she was six weeks pregnant, she bled until she concluded that the pregnancy had been lost. (But there are seeds that are not miscarry-able). Beloved, no devil can abort what God wants to do with your life. She thought the pregnancy had been miscarried, but then the pregnancy survived by God’s mercy. It could not be miscarried.

Second, when she was in labour and went to the hospital for delivery, the health attendants told her, “Madam, you are not in labour; go back home.” She said she told them, “This is my fifth pregnancy; don’t I know labour again?” They insisted, “Go back home; you are not in labor.” That was how she returned home and had the baby delivered on the bare floor. She delivered the placenta all by herself and handled the situation before people came. That child is my humble self today. I was not born in a hospital.

Third, as a child, I was confronted with febrile convulsion. When the attack came, the pupil of the eyes would go up inside leaving only the white part. Anywhere my mother was they would call her to come back home because the child was dying again.

As a child growing up, I hardly smiled because of pain and affliction. But thank God because I am smiling now, and the devil is frowning now.

Many times, when people experience a lot of battle, they cry and ask in frustration, “What is wrong with me?” But that is not the right question to ask. The truth is, your battle is not because of what is wrong with you; rather, it is because of what is right about your life or what is going to be great about your life and destiny.

Beloved, if your future is great, your battle will be strong. If you have a great future, you will experience strong battles and resistance.

But you must decide not to bow in defeat to the battles of life. It is a matter of choice. Living is a choice. Going up or succeeding in life is a product of choice. And one of the products of choice, especially the right choice, is the trigger of power. You don’t know power until you make the right choice.

Beloved, that battle trying to frustrate or terminate your life is over today, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: If your future is great, your battle will be strong.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

1. Choose to live and win no matter the severity of the battle coming against you.
2. Rebuke and refire every arrow of affliction back to sender by the Blood of Jesus.
3. Believe you have a great future in God and be prayerfully determined to fulfil it. Never give up!

PRAYER: Lord, thank You because my life is hidden with Christ in God. I choose to live and win. Devil, your agenda against my life and destiny is terminated by the Blood of Jesus, in Jesus’ Name.
