TOPIC: SEIZING IT BY SEEING IT
SCRIPTURE: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
THOUGHT What you see determines what you can seize. It has been confirmed that the Word of God communicates Godliness. This implies that a contact with the Word of God communicates Godliness or godlikeness or what you might call divine nature and character. Every time you read the Bible and you read it well, you will come in contact with the Mindset of God and the way God thinks; and you know, action is a product of thought. So, from the Bible, you encounter the Mindset of God; from the Bible, you encounter the lifestyle of God, you also encounter how God does things. From the Bible, you encounter what God desires and dislikes from His children. What He desires to see in your life. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory. It is clear that what you see determines what you can seize. You remember the story of Jacob in the Old Testament? He painted wood for animals and as they were watching and mating, they were giving birth to the same animals (Genesis 30:37-43). What you envision determines what you deliver. By the time you continue to look into the Book, God begins to open your eyes to see the lifestyle of God, the Mindset of God, what He hates in your life, and then you begin to adjust your life. Therefore, give a diligent attention to the study of the Word and obey it.
Remember this: What you see determines what you seize.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Ask God to open your eyes to see the Word.
- Make up your mind to walk in the reality of what God reveals to you from the Word.
PRAYER: Father, I ask that You open my eyes to behold the tressures of your Word. I ask that You make it a reality in my life anything I see from Your Word, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
