TOPIC: KNOWING DIVINE TIMING AND SEASONS OF LIFE
SCRIPTURE: Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. John 2:4

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Understanding divine timing in everything you do is critical to a life of colour and honour.

In life, understanding is key to outstanding performance. Understanding of divine timing or the seasons of life is a non-negotiable requirement for outstanding existence.

On the contrary, when you lack understanding of divine timing, captivity becomes inevitable. When you act at the wrong time, even if it’s the right action, the result will never be right. When you observe the Life and Ministry of Jesus Christ on earth, you will notice that He never performed any miracles until His appointed time. In John 2, when His mother told Him the people had no wine, He replied that His time had not yet come. In essence, He was saying, “Don’t rush me into action. I cannot release my power prematurely. I cannot demonstrate my authority before the designated time. I cannot manifest dominion outside the proper season. Woman, my time has not come.”

But while they were conversing, God in heaven must have seen Mary’s desperation. When she instructed the servants, “Whatsoever He says to you, do it,” God must have whispered to Jesus, “It is time.” At that moment, God made it happen, even though the appointed time had not yet come. This was because of Mary’s faith and the servants’ obedience.

Many people undertake actions without understanding the right timing. You don’t need to be a prophet to know the times; all you need is to be a child of God who is passionate about His will. Those who understand divine timing and align themselves with God’s program always stay ahead of their peers. Those who know the right time for the fulfillment of God’s purposes enjoy an edge over others.

Beloved, this is my counsel for you: make up your mind to understand the seasons of your life. Seek God to reveal His program and purpose for your life, and align yourself with it.

Remember this: Understanding divine timing in everything you do is critical to a life of colour and honour.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Ask God to reveal His purpose and program for each season, and align yourself with it.
2. Refuse to live in ignorance of divine timing and God’s purpose for your life.

PRAYER:Father, I ask that You reveal Your program and purpose for my life, Your church, and my nation for each season. I receive grace to pray and align with Your timing, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
