TOPIC: Dominion By The Fighting Spirit

SCRIPTURE: And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
1 Chronicles 18:3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Everyone who understands what it means to be a fighter understands what it means to take charge.

The fighting spirit has been identified as a vital secret of dominion. Those who understand what it means to fight also understand what it means to take charge.

1 Chronicles 18:3 says: And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.

This shows that dominion is established through fights. You establish, extend, and expand dominion by possessing a fighting spirit. Dominion cannot be fully realized without the engagement of a fighting spirit.

Now, let us look at Scriptural examples of people who established dominion by the fighting spirit.

1. David

David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates (1 Chronicles 18:3). He understood that dominion could only be expanded through warfare.

2. Abraham.

When Abraham heard that Lot his nephew was taken captive, he armed his trained servants—318 men—and pursued the captors, defeated them, rescued Lot and recovered all of his belongings (Genesis 14:14).

Through his fighting spirit, Abraham exercised dominion to the extent that the king of Sodom came out to bow before him. Abraham was not a king, but kings respected him because he understood what it meant to fight for what mattered.

Please understand that the fighting spirit is a secret of dominion. To take charge, extend influence, and fulfill destiny, you must be prepared to engage the fighting spirit.
