TOPIC: DESTINY DEMANDS RESPONSIBILITY

SCRIPTURE: “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Until you rise, you never shine. No one shines by sitting still; people rise so they can shine.

It has been established that decision is key to destination, and vision is the ladder to the top. However, both decision and vision must be backed by action to produce desired results. Vision without action is mere daydreaming or even a nightmare, because it eventually leads to frustration.

Now, consider these key thoughts:

1. Outcome is a product of action.

Positive outcomes result from positive actions. To achieve results in life, action is a non-negotiable requirement.

2. Effect is the product of effort.

Wherever you see significant effects, there are diligent efforts behind it.

3. Impact is the result of input.

Your impact in life is directly proportional to the quality of your input. What you put in determines what you get out.

4. Possibility is a product of responsibility.

Possibility is a product of responsibility. Nothing is possible until someone is responsible. The acceptance of responsibility is the beginning of possibility.

5. Waves are products of moves.

To create waves, you must first make moves. Without movement, there can be no ripple effects.

6. Shining is undergirded by rising.

Shining is the result of rising.

Isaiah 60:1 declares: “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” Until you rise, you never shine. No one shines by sitting still; people rise so they can shine. To shine spiritually, physically, or in destiny, you must first rise. Nobody sleeps, plays, or procrastinates their way to shining. Rising is the pathway to shining.

ASSIGNMENTS:

Make up your mind to take personal responsibility to fulfil your destiny.

Move beyond just having dreams and visions; take practical actions and steps towards realizing your vision.

PRAYER: Father, I ask for the grace to take personal responsibility for my destiny. Help me to rise and take appropriate actions so I can shine in every area of my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
