TOPIC: THE PROFITABILITY OF FAITH

SCRIPTURE: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrew 11:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot be in faith and be without proofs.

Our anchor scripture establishes that faith is the doorway to spiritual rewards and profits. God did not call us to believe in Him or seek Him in vain. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him or believe in Him. Isaiah 45:19 says I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness… God seems to be saying here, “I am not asking you to look for me in vain.” We are not wasting our time in church.

Please, take note of the following:

1. Faith is that weapon that attracts substantial evidence of the reality of God into the life of the believer (Hebrews 11:1-3). In case there is anyone who says God does not exist, when he sees the life of a man or woman of faith, such a person will see the evidence of the reality of God.
2. You cannot be in faith and be without proofs.
3. Faith is what makes the Word of God profitable (Hebrews 4:2).

It has been established that lighted people are faith-filled people. So, the Word is the raw material for faith.

The Word is profitable when it is mixed with faith. It is possible to have religion without reality, but you cannot have faith without reality.

There are religious people being mocked for going to church all the time, yet no proof. They are being mocked, even by their family members. But you cannot be in faith and be without reality.

Now, how profitable is faith?

1. Faith is key to power (Acts 6:8). The presence of faith is the presence of power. The fullness of faith is the fullness of power. Faith cannot be present, and power is absent. That is why men of faith are men of power. Anywhere you see a woman of faith, she is also a woman of supernatural power.
2. Faith is key to ‌glory (John 11:40).

The faith realm is the glory realm. Anyone occupying the realm of faith is also occupying the glory realm.

Faith moves people to the realm of God. And God occupies the realm of possibilities. This is made clear in Mark 10:27. 

3. Faith is key to victory and triumph in life (1 John 5:4).

Faith is the guarantee of victory any day, anytime and anywhere, whether in the physical or in the spiritual realm. Faith will make a victor out of a victim, a captain out of the captive, and a conqueror out of the conquered.

Beloved, if you need power, please don’t lack faith. If you want to walk in the glory realm, don’t lack faith. Do you want to triumph over the adversities of life? Then build your faith!

REMEMBER THIS: You cannot be in faith and be without proofs

2. Attune your thoughts, talk and walk to the light of Scripture.

PRAYER: Father, as I seek You diligently, I ask that You usher me into the realm of evidential faith. I refuse to be in faith and be without proofs, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
