Is God Pleased With Your Life?

 TOPIC:  IS GOD PLEASED WITH YOUR LIFE?

 SCRIPTURE: He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.  Revelations 21:7-8

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Church is open to everyone, but heaven is not open to everyone.

Sometime ago, God used us to deliver a girl who was possessed by the spirit of immorality. She said that due to the influence of that spirit, she must have immorality every single day of her life. We asked her, “How is that possible?” And she said that if she did not see a man around her, she would go to the road, meet a stranger and seduce him, and the man would not be able to say, ‘No.’ Men could not refuse her advances because she was equipped with evil powers. What a demonic possession!

We live in a generation where the devil is doing overtime, and as a result, there is so much decadence in our society.  Abominable vices such as masturbation, homosexuality, and lesbianism are spreading very fast. Lecturers put young ladies under pressure; if the ladies refuse to sleep with them, the lecturers ensure they fail their examinations, no matter how intelligent they are. A boss is putting employees under pressure to sleep with him before getting promoted. Superiors in the office find it difficult to help subordinates without asking for something in return.

Our anchor scripture says, But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:

 This scripture also mentioned sorcerers, and someone may say, “Thank God, I am not a witch.” It may interest you to know that bitterness is an elementary form of witchcraft. Bitterness matures into wickedness and wickedness progresses into witchcraft. Figuratively speaking, there are people whose hearts are so bitter that they are hot enough to cook yams.

We live in days where people in church, not unbelievers, continue to live in bitterness, envy, and jealousy. A brother is attacking a fellow brother; people can sit in church and gossip about other people in the same department in church, some brothers and sisters are quarreling so badly that they can’t even talk to each other. They come to God’s Presence and violate God’s principles right in His eyes.

The truth is, church is open to everyone, but heaven is not open to everyone. And what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul in hell (Matthew 16:26)?

Beloved, beyond going to church, beyond seeking for what God can do for you, beyond calling yourself a Christian, ensure that your life is completely surrendered to God and your character reflects the person and character of Jesus Christ.

Remember this: Church is open to everyone, but heaven is not open to everyone.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

1. Be born again if you are not born again. Be saved, don’t assume it.
2. Live in the consciousness of eternity; repent and confess all sins promptly.
3. Apply for grace to overcome sin so you can live upright.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to overcome the temptation of sin. Help me to maintain a godly character, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
