TOPIC: LIFE IS A SEED
SCRIPTURE: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Galatians 6:7
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Living is seeding.
Our encounters in the journey of life have helped us realize that the universe is a university. Those who observe and pay attention to details would acknowledge the fact that everything in life instructs.
And one of the lessons of life is that LIFE IS A SEED. Every act is a seed that will someday produce a harvest. How you live today determines where you will end tomorrow. The way you are living is the seed you are sowing. So, living is seeding. Your relationship with your fellow human beings, your character, lifestyle, etc. are all seeds you are sowing, and they will definitely produce corresponding harvests.
Beloved, it is important to know that how you live in time determines where you end in eternity. People are sowing seeds with their lives. When a person lies against his neighbour, he sows a seed that he will reap in time and in eternity. When a person steals money that is not his, he sows a seed. When a lady steps into someone’s home, pushes out the woman and marries the man as if she deserves the man more than the woman, she sows a seed that will generate for her harvest in time and in eternity. When a lecturer fails students because they refuse to compromise, give him a bribe, or sleep with him, he sows a seed that he stands to reap in time and eternity. When a person collects bribe to pervert the course of justice, he or she has sown a seed that will be reaped in time and in eternity.
Beloved, beware how you live because your living is your seeding. Good seeds attract good harvests, and negative seeds attract negative harvests. Every time you do something good, you are sowing a good seed. And every time you do something bad, you are sowing a bad seed. And the harvest of the seed you sow may also affect your generation after you. So, ensure the seed you are sowing is what you desire as your harvest.
Remember this: Living is seeding.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
- Think about the consequences of every action first before you take it.
- Ask God for mercy anywhere you had sown a bad seed.
- Consciously sow quality seeds so you can reap quality harvest.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to walk in the path of righteousness. I receive the grace to sow good seeds so I can reap good harvests, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
