Following The Steps Of The Blessed

 TOPIC: FOLLOWING THE STEPS OF THE BLESSED

 SCRIPTURE: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.  Hebrews 6:12

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot follow the footsteps of giants and end up as a dwarf.

The Word of God reveals the pathway to the Blessing of God in many ways including showing us the steps of the blessed which we can follow and experience the same blessed outcome.

The Scripture shows us men and women who inherited the promises; it shows us people who were faithful to God, people who served God faithfully and experienced His Blessing. It reveals people who were loaded with the Blessing, and what they did to possess the Blessing.

The point is, if we identify and follow in their footsteps, we can have similar results.

For example, the Bible shows us how Abraham who was a nonentity later turned into a celebrity, and the things he did to trigger such a turnaround. It also shows us the life of Isaac and how he followed in the footsteps of his father, and what became of him, etc.

And the Bible says, So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham (Galatians 3:9). So, if we follow the footsteps of Abraham and other great men in Scripture or in contemporary times, we will have their results.

Beloved, you cannot follow the footsteps of giants and end up as a dwarf. The footsteps of the person you follow determine the outcome you experience in life.

Remember this: You cannot follow in the footsteps of giants and end up as a dwarf.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

1. Look out for relevant action steps to take from the stories of great people in Scripture.
2. Take the action steps and expect their results.
3. Align your mentality with that of great people in Scripture and other great children of God in contemporary times.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to uphold the principles of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and of other great people of faith, so I can experience their kind of results, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
