SCRIPTURE: And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. Joel 2:25.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Blessing does not only restore what was previously lost, it can also reproduce what you currently have.
Sometime ago, I heard an interesting story about a rich man in Malaysia. This man was said to have lost one billion dollars in stock during the stock market crash of 1986. He lost the entire money under twenty-four hours.
But the next day, he was seen playing golf, so they asked him, “You lost one billion dollars only yesterday, and today, you are playing golf. Are you not troubled?”
And he replied, “I was the one who made the first one billion dollars, and I have not forgotten how I made it.”
That is to say, “I know how to make what I have lost. I have the reproductive capacity in me. As long as I have not lost the power in me to reproduce things, I can reproduce anything I have lost”.
This is how it is with the Blessing. The Blessing has reproductive capacity. Those who are blessed can reproduce anything they have lost.
The Scripture reveals that Isaac dug many wells after the death of his father Abraham and the Philistines stopped all of them.
But because the reproductive capacity of the Blessing was in him, he dug yet another, and kept on digging despite resistance until he discovered Rehoboth, which was bigger than the previous wells that the Philistines had stopped.
Genesis 26:22 says,
And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
Rehoboth means, the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
He seemed to have said, “The Lord has made a larger room than the previous ones, for us. We have abundant and larger space now and we shall be fruitful”.
This is what the Blessing does. The Blessing does not only restore what was previously lost, it can also reproduce what you currently have.
