THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you celebrate God’s Character in praise, you attract His Presence.

Thanksgiving or appreciation is a major component of prayer. This is evident in the pattern of prayer taught by our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 6:9-13. Result-oriented prayer must begin and end with thanksgiving.

Now, what will thanksgiving achieve at the place of prayer?
1. Celebrating God’s Character in praise is attracting His Presence.
When you celebrate God’s Character in praise, you attract His presence. This is because His praise is His House.

That is why Psalms 22:3 says, But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

There are people who live in diamond, glass or golden houses, but God lives in praise. So, those who know how to praise God have the capacity to both connect and sustain Divine presence. The capacity to connect and sustain the Presence of God is achieved at the place of praise, thanksgiving and worship.

So, prayer is an opportunity to see what God will do again. When you celebrate what He did before, you attract His Presence to do more.

2. Submission to God in worship guarantees the manifestation of His Almightiness.
At the place of worship, we prostrate, submit and bow to God. When we submit to Him in worship, we experience His Almightiness.

In 1 Chronicles 5:13, while the priests were ministering, the glory of God fell. In Acts 16:25-26, Paul and Silas were in prison, and as they praised and worshipped God, God showed His Almightiness. That is what happens when you give God genuine praise and worship.

Beloved, determine to make praise and thanksgiving a priority of your life.

Remember this: When you celebrate God’s Character in praise, you attract His Presence.
