SCRIPTURE: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Confession and forgiveness of sin bring healing.

The Scripture makes it clear that it is the will of God for His children to live in perfect health (3 John 2).

However, satan always devises strategies to bring affliction on God’s children always. And one of the ways he does that is through sin.

Psalm 107:17 says:
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted

So, to be involved in iniquity is to be afflicted. Sin is a major pathway to affliction.

This means, whatever makes one free of sin delivers one from affliction. Confession and forgiveness of sin, therefore, bring healing.

Now, how does confession and forgiveness bring healing?
The confession and forgiveness of sins deprives the enemy of the license to operate.

If for example, you have done all manner of prayer and the symptoms of a sickness still persist, then you can say to God, “Lord, I don’t know if there is a sin in my life. Whatever I have done consciously or unconsciously to open the door for the enemy, whatever I did that broke the hedge, I ask for mercy. I ask for forgiveness. I ask for the cleansing power of the Blood of Jesus.”

When you do this, you deprive the enemy the license to operate. This is because sin gave the devil license in the Garden of Eden for the curse to come upon Adam.

1 Corinthians 15:56 makes it clear that the sting of death is sin. And you know, most times, there is a disease before death. So, the sting of disease and death is sin itself. So, the bite of death is from the sting of sin.

REMEMBER THIS: Confession and forgiveness of sin bring healing.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Refuse to give way for affliction in your life through sin.
2. Ask God to show you Mercy if you have been afflicted.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for showing me the pathway to total wholeness. I ask for mercy and forgiveness from any sin in my life. Heal me totally, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
