The Explosion Of Praise And Worship – A Proof Of Revival

Sunday 10th May 2026

TOPIC: THE EXPLOSION OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP – A PROOF OF REVIVAL

SCRIPTURE: And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving, and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

Jeremiah 30:19

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If praise and worship are not a part of your devotional life, something is wrong somewhere.

It has been confirmed that praise and worship are at the centre of our relationship with God. Any Christian who is too big for praise and worship is a Christian who is out of revival. A person who is too big for thanksgiving and appreciation is out of revival.

In most places, pastors enter the church after the praise and worship session is over. They are not interested in praise. To such people, praise and worship session is for the children; it belongs to those who are in the flesh. They are not interested in the worship segment; it is not part of what they look out for in service, and it is probably not part of their personal devotional life.

Beloved, if praise and worship are not a part of your devotional life, something is wrong somewhere.

In authentic revival, there is an explosion of praise, worship, and thanksgiving. Every genuine revival leads to an explosion of praise and worship. They heard them speak in their languages of the wonderful works of God (Acts 2:11). They were praising God and testifying of His wondrous works.

Zephaniah 3:17 says, The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

God believes in joy; He relishes the rejoicing of His people. So, rejoicing in God’s Presence, in an atmosphere of praise is not carnality; it is spirituality because God believes in joy and rejoicing.

The concluding part of that verse says, “…He will joy over you with singing.” So, God Himself sings. God does not only believe in singing; He is also part of the singing.

Matthew 26:30 says, And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

You see, Jesus Himself sang hymns with His disciples.

Beloved, an authentic revival climate is characterized by the explosion of celebration, thanksgiving, praise and worship. Thanksgiving flows effortlessly in the climate of revival. A true revival climate makes people praise God, being let loose like children. In that climate, tears flow effortlessly as one appreciates the Almightiness and faithfulness of God.

REMEMBER THIS: If praise and worship are not a part of your devotional life, something is wrong somewhere.
