Spiritual Strength And Victory By Dedication

TOPIC: SPIRITUAL STRENGTH AND VICTORY BY DEDICATION

 SCRIPTURE: I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. 1John 2:14

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The dividends of dedication far outweigh the cost of commitment to God.

I heard a very brutal story some time ago. Two kings were contesting for a piece of land across a lake. There was a race set before them; and they all came to an agreement that whoever crosses the lake and reaches the shores first owns the land.

So, they started paddling their canoes across the lake, heading to the shore. Suddenly, one of the kings realized that he was lagging as the other king was in front of him. Do you know what he did? He cut off his hand and threw it across to the shore. He said, “I reached the land first; my hand arrived there first.” Eventually, he possessed the land. What a brutal determination!

Beloved, there is a level of spiritual brutality, audacity, tenacity and ferocity that enable people to conquer things and territories. You need spiritual strength to beat the witches that want to make you wretched. You need that spiritual strength to beat the demons of your family that forbid people from rising. Strength is the secret of victory in battle. With spiritual strength, you are not permitted to be swallowed by any battle (1John 2:14). People are defeated only where there is a bankruptcy of strength (Proverbs 24:10).

Now, it is important to note that one of the things that guarantee spiritual strength is dedication to God (Psalm 84:7). Dedication to God is a doorway to power in the kingdom. Commitment is key to empowerment. Your dedication builds your spiritual strength, and strength gives you energy to win battles and subdue the enemies (Psalms 18:39).

My counsel is just one: Whatever be the cost of dedication to God, agree to pay it, because the dividends of dedication far outweigh the cost of commitment to God. It pays you more than it costs you.

Remember this: The dividends of dedication far outweigh the cost of commitment to God.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

1. Be committed to God in deploying your energy, talents, and resources for kingdom advancement.
2. Refuse to give up whenever your faith is confronted.
3. Always ensure your dedication to God is intact.

PRAYER: Lord, my time, energy and resources are all Yours. I receive the grace to be dedicated in serving You with all You have given me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
