SERVING YOUR WAY TO THE THRONE

SCRIPTURE: And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers. And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound. And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward. Genesis 40:2-4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The people you see around you may be your link to your next level. The people you serve may be your link to your promised land.

The Word of God is full of events and stories that demonstrate the connection between the life of service and the palace. Service is key to royalty. Service is the gateway to the Promised Land.

You know, it is one thing to have a dream, it is another thing to fulfill your dream and destiny.

Now, one key or secret of fulfilling your dream is service.
Service was the key that took Joseph from the prison to the palace.

Genesis 40:2-4 says,
2 And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.
3 And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.
4 And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.

You see, when the captain of the guard kept the chief butler and the baker in the custody of Joseph in the prison, the Bible reveals that Joseph served them. Instead of maltreating them as is usually done in our modern-day prison whenever a new prisoner is brought, Joseph served them.

Instead of suffering them, he served them. And one of them, who was the chief butler, became his link to the palace, the same place he dreamt about when he was much younger.

God gave him a dream, but it took his service to actualize that dream.

The lesson here is, be careful how you treat the people around you. The people you see around you may be your link to your next level in life. The people you serve may be your link to your Promised Land. Be careful how you handle the people of your life. They may be your link to your future.

One day, the Amalekites invaded the city of David, took his wife, children and others captive. Then David began to pursue them. On his way, he found beside the road, a sick man that had been sick and abandoned for three days, and was left to die. The master of this sick fellow was one of those who invaded the city of David.

David gave him food to eat and the man was revived. The master of this sick fellow left him to die, but David made him to live. At the end, this sick man became David’s link to the people David was looking for.

Beloved, you can serve your way to the palace.

Remember this: The people you see around you may be your link to your next level in life. The people you serve may be your link to your Promised Land.
