SAY, “NO” TO INGRATITUDE

SCRIPTURE: It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night. Psalm 92:1-2.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You are not qualified to receive your next act of kindness until you have shown gratitude for the last act of kindness shown to you by both God and men.

Our anchor Scripture reveals that it a good, fitting and appropriate thing to give thanks to the Lord.

It is in order when we show forth God’s lovingkindness in the morning and His faithfulness in the night.

Therefore, it is very important to understand the essence of thanksgiving or what thanksgiving implies.

You see, in our world today, the attitude of thanksgiving both to God and to man is rapidly disappearing.

Children find it difficult to say “Thank you” to their parents; and parents, also, find it very difficult to say “Thank you” to their children when necessary.

Furthermore, husbands find it difficult to say “Thank you” to their wives when their wives have done what is right, and wives also find it difficult to say “Thank you” to their husbands because they think it is their right for their husbands to do good things for them.

More painfully, people (especially Christians) find it difficult to say “Thank you” to God who had delivered them and provided for them in so many ways.

This disappearing attitude of gratitude is not good.

For instance, when you are driving, and you decide to slow down your vehicle for someone to pass, the least they can do is to give you a wave of gratitude.

On the contrary, many of such people who are shown this act of kindness would usually walk away without showing gratitude as if it is their right for you to slow down your car for them to pass.

You see, this attitude of ingratitude is a sign of the end time; it is a proof that we are approaching the end of the age.

2 Timothy 3:1-2 says,
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy…

Beloved, you are not qualified to receive your next act of kindness until you have shown gratitude for the last act of kindness shown to you by both God and men.

Say, “NO” to the attitude of ingratitude!

QUOTE: Put an up-beat praise music and begin to celebrate and jubilate to the glory of God. When you begin to do that, your joy will come back. When your joy is restored, your strength will be restored. And when your strength is restored, you can decree a thing and it shall be established.
