SCRIPTURE: Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. John 14:30.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Godly character impacts boldness and confidence.
One reason why it is important to live right is that Godly character impacts boldness, confidence and the audacity of faith that maybe needed in times of confrontation. Living right makes a person fearless and gives him the audacity to confront anything.
John 14:30 says,
Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
Jesus seemed to say, “The devil is looking for me, but he is helpless because there is nothing he can use against me to bring me down.”
Indeed, Godly character impacts boldness and confidence. If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear. Iniquity invites calamity, but authentic spirituality and integrity frustrate calamity.
One thing associated with little children is their innocence and purity of heart.
Matthew 18:3 says,
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
And because of the innocence of little children, they can be so bold. They can look straight into your eyes and not be afraid of anything. If you pointed a gun at a child, he would not be aware of any danger. At times, you can see a child looking closely at a snake; he is not aware that the snake is dangerous because of his innocence and boldness.
That is how godly character impacts boldness and confidence.
The truth is, a time may come when the prince of this world, satan the devil would look for you.
The question is: will he find anything in you? Will he find any sin in you? Will he meet you with boldness of character? Can you boldly say like Jesus, “The prince of this world cometh but he finds nothing in me”? Will you be able to confront the prince of this world like Jesus did with the audacity of godly character?
My counsel is, by all means make up your mind to live right so you don’t become a prey to the devil.
Remember this: Godly character impacts boldness and confidence.
