SCRIPTURE: And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. Genesis 25:23.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The difference between one person and another person’s outcome in life is their manners.
From our anchor Scripture above, we understand that Jacob and Esau were children of the same parents. Both were products of one conception, and grew up under the same environment. However, their destinies were different. Their outcomes in life were as far from each other as the heaven is from the earth.
Esau became a cunning hunter. He was a restless man who jumped up and down everywhere, but Jacob was a plain man, a man dwelling in tents. Esau ended up differently from Jacob. The fundamental difference between the two of them was character.
Character is a major determinant of anyone’s outcome in life.
You see, the greatest wealth anyone can have is the wealth of character. The greatest capital on earth is the character capital.
What separated Esau and Jacob was character.
Genesis 25:23 says:
And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
Please note, two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels.
This means, it is manners or character that separates people on earth. The difference between one person and another person’s outcome in life is their manners.
Beloved, you are a product of your manners. You are a product of your character. Your character defines your destiny. Until your character is in order, your destiny is out of order. Your real worth in life is your manners or character.
REMEMBER THIS: The difference between one person and another person’s outcome in life is their manners.
