EMBRACING THE PRINCIPLE OF DILIGENCE

SCRIPTURE: Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22:29

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: No devil can stop a diligent person because principles are stronger than principalities.

In October 2013, I was asked to speak in a meeting in the nation of Israel. The meeting had in attendance, the president of our country Nigeria at the time, state governors, ministers, ambassadors and other prominent people.

After the meeting, someone sent me a text and said, “That was the product of diligence.”

No wonder, Proverbs 22:29 says, Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

In that meeting, I told the story of Israel to the point that the Israelis in the meeting confirmed what I said.

While flying in the aircraft for that meeting, I spent about four hours studying and making research. Someone who sat close to me, a professor from a Nigerian university, asked me, “Are you preparing a thesis?”

He asked this question because I sat with him for hours without blinking my eyes even though I had just left a night vigil service to catch that flight.

I told him that it was a project. Of course there is no project on earth that is more important than the project of spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom. The project of changing lives, delivering souls from hell, populating heaven and depopulating hell is a great project indeed.

An Israeli in that meeting was shocked at the details I gave while speaking in that meeting. I described the land mass of Israel, the percentage occupied by desert and the percentage that is vegetation, and other relevant details under a few minutes.

You see, discipline brings diligence and diligence fuels eminence. You cannot be disciplined and not be diligent, and you cannot be diligent and not end up eminent. No devil can stop a diligent person because principles are stronger than principalities.

Remember this: No devil can stop a diligent person because principles are stronger than principalities.

ASSIGNMENTS:

QUOTE: A second thing to know about laziness is that it limits potentials. Diligence and hard work release potentials. Until the eagle spreads out its wings and decides to fly, it does not know its potential. It does not know it can fly ten thousand feet above sea level.
