THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Depression is doorway to destruction. Depression is doorway to dryness.
It has been confirmed that depression is doorway to destruction.
Depression happens when a person sees no reason to be happy. A depressed person is sad all the time. Depression is doorway to dryness.
Proverbs 17:22 says:
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
A depressed heart dries up the bones, and the bone is the centre for life. The red blood cells are manufactured in the bone marrow. If the bone is drying up, it means life is going. That is why you cannot be cast down and be healthy (Psalms 42:11). Depression is an attack on health. It is a medical condition.
The solution to depression is a merry heart. There is reason to be merry. The fact that you are alive is a reason to be happy (Psalms 150:6).
You fight depression by saturating your environment with joy tonics (Isaiah 61:3). Saturate your environment with excitement. The fact is, whenever you are weighed down, you are slowed down. When you are weighed down, you are tied down. So refuse to be weighed down. Refuse to be tied down. Fight depression.
Remember this: Depression is doorway to destruction. Depression is doorway to dryness.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Pray in the Spirit abundantly; the Holy Ghost triggers joy that swallows up depression.
2. Choose to be joyful despite what your environment throws at you; being joyful is a choice.
3. Make demands on God for the grace to stay joyful.
PRAYER: Lord, I curse every root of depression in my life. I make the choice to be happy, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
