SCRIPTURE: …let the weak say, I am strong. Joel 3:10.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The way you speak can make you strong and the way you speak can make you sick.
I heard the story from Dr Paul Yonggi Cho (of blessed memory) of a woman who once went to a Christian medical doctor in Korea because she had PUO. PUO means Pyrexia of unknown origin, which is fever of unknown origin.
The doctor interrogated and examined her a little, but could not find out the cause of the fever.
Then, the doctor asked her, “Please tell me the kind of things you say to yourself.”
And the woman began to recount what she usually said. She said that every time someone said anything she didn’t like, she would say to the person, “Don’t burn me with your words. You are burning me up with your words.”
She kept talking like that until her body literally began to burn her. That was the cause of the fever she had.
Proverbs 12:18 says,
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
So, the tongue of the wise can bring good health and the tongue of the fool can also bring ill-health.
The way you speak can make you strong and the way you speak can also make you sick.
Joel 3:10 says,
…let the weak say, I am strong.
You may be weak or sick, nevertheless, do not confess your situation; confess your revelation from God’s Word which is Divine health. Even if you are sick or weak, the revelation is that you are strong and healthy. So, refuse to confess your situation no matter how real it appears. Confess your revelation; declare the truth of God’s Word concerning your life.
Remember this: The way you speak can make you strong and the way you speak can make you sick.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for the revelation of Your Word to me today. I receive grace to confess my revelation and reality, and not my situation and condition, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
